Reward Talent and Creativity of Artisans and The Competition for New Designs

They involved 310 craftsmen from 30 different locations in the state, and 467 support the same number of beneficiaries were delivered to raise the quality in production.

Under the 45th anniversary of the House of Crafts (Casart), it was conducted in coordination with the National Fund for the Development of Arts and Crafts (Fonart), the nineteenth State Competition Craft new designs, which involved 310 architects with 521 pieces registered, 30 towns in the state, and 67 awards totaling bag 220,000 pesos were granted.

Chagollan Hugo Javier Perez, deputy secretary for the state Department of Economic Development (Sedeco), representing the Governor, Salvador Jara Guerrero acknowledged the support that the National Fund for the Development of Arts and Crafts has designed for and artisans Michoacan, and the work that the holder of the Casart, Rafal Paz Vega, made with federal institutions to manage resources that benefit the creators Michoacan. For his part, Rafael Paz, director general of the House of Crafts, mentioned that the pieces showed the artisans and craftsmen were developed with quality especially for this contest and must be on sale from the first to last February and up the 27 of this month at Casart, in order to market these products.

Victor Garcia de Ochoa, commercial director of Fonart said delivering 467 supports the same number of beneficiaries in 35 communities, the Program of Support to the production, by a spill of a million 976 thousand 500 pesos, with the aim of contributing to increase the quality of production, with the delivery of raw materials, supplies and tools.

The craft Beatriz Aguilera Diaz, thanked the financial support that the House of Crafts and the National Fund for the Development of Arts and Crafts awarded to the architects and stressed that the support will be reflected in the development of parts made of better and more quality.

During the awards ceremony and delivery of support, different personalities were present, including representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Women, of the municipalities of Morelia, Tzintzuntzan and Sahuayo; deputies of the National Commission for the Development of Indigenous Peoples, and the Union of Artisans of Michoacan.
